How Posture Can Help You Succeed In Your Home Business

In Network Marketing, posture is a big part of what stands between your success or failure. A few days ago we talked about not being emotionally attached to the outcome of whether or not the prospect says yes or no. Well, posture and not being attached to the outcome really go hand in hand. You have to master both of these to have the best chance of success in your home business.

So what does it mean to have posture?

It means you are unshakable. The inability to be discouraged or swayed. It means that you have a solid belief in what you are doing and you don’t shake in your shoes and collapse when someone says something negative or someone doesn’t believe in what you are doing. You just move on. To succeed, you need to believe it regardless of what others think, and you need to stand firm on that belief.

So how do you do that?

Well first of all, it takes time. It takes dedication and consistency. It takes personal growth training and lots of it. My favorite for building posture is industry trainer, Dani Johnson. You can do a free 30 day bootcamp at smarternetworker.com that is amazing and will teach you posture and so much more.

Posture is something you learn over time through personal development, but until then, sometimes you just got to put it on like you do your pants. Before you go out there and prospect people, just make a decision that you will not break under the pressure of some idiot who calls it a scam, or says “those things never work”, or “you’ll never make money doing that”. You have to posture yourself to a place of pure belief so that when you hear those things, not if, when, you will not crack, but you will stay strong in the belief of what you are doing.

Don’t let those people kill your dreams in this industry that can absolutely change your life and the life of your family. Put on some posture and don’t crack.

A professional network marketer will not apologize or defend their position or opportunity. Never defend. Just understand that it’s not for everyone and move on and just say thank you. Defending shows desperation. Never get into a place of arguing and convincing. It makes you look weak, and makes you look desperate.

Professionals never try to convince or defend. They simply introduce what they do, ask if the person is open to learning. If the person says no, they move on. Don’t get into a battle because you will lose. It’s not worth it.

Not allowing yourself to be affected by the outcome, being yourself, having enthusiasm and passion, and having unshakeable posture will take time to build. But it comes through practice, practice and more practice.

You won’t get it right all the time, especially at first, but you build your posture through practice and personal development training, such as the training I mentioned before at smarternetworker.com, This will get you to a professional level if you don’t quit and don’t let the negative opinions kill your belief.

Comfort zones are comfortable but you don’t get very far if you stay in them. So get outside of your comfort zone today, work on building your posture, and believe that it’s worth it and never give up. That’s how you make it in network marketing.

How to Use the Power of the Curiosity Post to Get Leads

The power of the curiosity post.

So most of you who follow my videos on Facebook know that I completely believe in branding yourself and not your company. Posting your business and products all over Facebook is spam and makes you look like an amateur. Amateurs push products, professionals provide value and a solution for people.

So last night, I posted a curiosity post of sorts on Facebook. I make my own healthy toxin free face lotion, as well as other products and we have completely swapped out almost everything in our home over the past year for natural safe toxic free products.

Last night I posted this on my Facebook profile.

“My DIY Easy Healthy Homemade Face Lotion without the toxic chemicals.

If you are using store bought (neutrogena, noczema, etc) please know that those lotions and cremes are putting toxins into your body every time you put them on, many which are carcinogenic (cancer causing).

Every product you swap out for a natural one is one less chemical you are killing your body with each day. Know better. Do better.

I’m so glad we made the switch to natural products over a year ago.”

Now, was I doing this to try to trick people into buying what I have to offer? No. Of course not. I did this to help people see that there are healthier options and to provide value.

Since posting, I’ve had over 30 people so far ask for the recipe.

I sent the recipe by Messenger only, because I never give the name of my products away on social media, only that I am in health and wellness.  When I sent the messages to each, I began to ask questions like “have you ever made your own lotion”, or “how long have you been into more natural products”. Things like that to see if they have a need for what I have.

Then I simply asked if they would be open to learning more about how we were able to swap out all the bad products for healthy safe products.  Most said yes.

So at that point I directed them to my link. I did not blast a link in the first message with the recipe. I did not pressure or push or tell them how they should buy anything. No, I simply asked a couple questions, found out if they had a need and then asked if they were open to learning more.

If they weren’t, no big deal. If they were I sent the info. Super simple. It’s not spamming or pressuring. And you’re giving people value.

That’s a much better way to get people interested in your product, service or opportunity than doing a sales pitch all over your Facebook page and pushing products on people.

To your success,

How to Have the Best Network Marketing Monthly Start

It’s the first of the month and the best time to kick it into gear in your home business. Goal setting and accountability are keys to success in network marketing. Today is your chance, if you start today, to make this month amazing in your home business.

3 things you have to do.

  1. Get a plan together. Set daily and weekly goals for the month. Write them down. And get specific. How many people will you prospect each week? How will you do it? Will it be in person, on Facebook, text or phone? Get very specific.
  2. Find an accountability partner. This could be your upline, downline or just a friend who will ask you often if you are doing what you promised to do. Many times it’s a good idea to choose someone in your own company so that you can keep each other accountable. Maybe even make a competition out of it to keep it interesting.
  3. Do income producing activities, which is talking to people. Posting on Facebook is great, emailing is good, blogging is great, but those are all extras. The income producing activities you need to focus on daily is talking to people. The money is in the hands of the people. The people are who will buy your product or join your business, so talk to people. Every day.

That’s all I have today. Short and sweet. Because I have serious goals for this month. And I have people to talk to this evening and lots of follow ups this week. If you are not currently in a home business or are looking for a new opportunity, go to http://www.healthandfamily.us and I will be glad to share what I do with you so we can see if it’s a good fit for you.

For those of you who are in a home business you love, get to work, set your goals, find an accountability partner, talk to people, and make it happen this month!

To your success,

Genean Roberts

Why Teaching Trumps Personality

I have a question for you today. Are you trying to be someone you are not on social media? Do you want to grow your business so badly that you try to pretend you are someone you are not? Do you think things like “If I was just a more exciting person then people would be more attracted to my business” or “If I show more enthusiasm that will get people pumped up to join”?

Bottom Line: Teaching is more duplicatable than personality.

If that is you, I want to tell you today that whatever your personality is, just be you. I’m not saying don’t have passion and fire about what you do. Absolutely be excited about your business, but don’t be fake.

People will be more drawn to you being you. You are the only one who can be the best you. Teaching people things that are valuable are much more helpful than a big, bubbly personality. And in the long term, people will appreciate valuable information to help them grow a successful  business more than excitement and all the rah rah. So just be you.

Now if you are naturally super energetic and your personality is fun and loud, then use that. But for those of us who aren’t, don’t fake it, just be you.

Have you some big leaders in the industry, they are so excited and loud and you just want to be them because they seem so fun and people just flock to them?

I used to think that if I was only more exciting, more adventurous, more visibly passionate, that would draw people to me. But really, just being you works. And being yourself is so much more duplicatable.

Two reasons why teaching is better than personality.

  1. You come off as fake sometimes when you try to be something that is not natural to you.
  2. Others cannot duplicate your personality. You are you. They are them. They need to know it’s OK to be themselves. You can teach them to teach and give valuable information. You cannot teach personality. It’s not duplicatable.

So the best way to grow your team is to teach them to teach with their own God given personality. Information is valuable in network marketing, teaching skill sets and strategies is much more duplicatable and honestly much more appealing in the long run.

Excitement wears off, but skill sets and strategies is what will get you to the top and help your team get to the top. So teach, and teach them to teach. Be excited and passionate, but not fake.

Giving people solutions to their problems is much more helpful that getting them excited about you. Be real, be you. Teach your people to be themselves. Your business will grow and you won’t feel like a fake and that you have to be someone you are not.

To your success,

Genean Roberts

Home Business Help: How to Switch from Spamming to Adding Value on Facebook

Would you like to know how to post on Facebook to grow your health and wellness business without looking like a slimy salesperson?

Example topic “5 of the most toxic household products in your home”

I know many of my friends are in some type of health and wellness company, as am I, and I have been asked recently what is the best way to do a Facebook Live to get people interested in your company without making it a sales pitch or giving away the company name or specific product name.  Also, I have been asked how to look like a professional network marketer instead of everyone else who is out there blasting their product and opportunity all over social media.

So today, in the video above, I wanted to basically give you a Facebook Live idea you could do to gain interest and attract people to you without you looking like you are just pitching something. The answer is Value. Value is what you need to be giving on social media every day. The marketplace pays for value.

So today’s post is on a health and wellness topic to hopefully help educate some about the dangers of toxins in our homes, but also as an example of what you could do to add value, attract potential customers, all without giving the company or product name away and not looking salesy. Does that make sense? I hope so.

If you are in health and wellness, you could do a Facebook Live and give healthy living tips, or recipes, or exercise ideas, or how to live a toxin free life. There are so many ways to promote your business online without “promoting” your business. Tips and information like that is very valuable to many people.

For instance, I am also in the health and wellness niche, so what I talked about today in the above video is “5 of the most toxic household products in your home”, with two purposes, to educate people on the dangers of toxins in our homes, but also to show the health and wellness network marketer or any network marketer really, that you can absolutely talk about what you do without spamming or pitching your products..

So a good Facebook live, has an intro, question, content, and then a call to action. So here are some examples.

Intro :

Hey this is Genean Roberts. Thanks for jumping on with me to learn about ways to improve your health. (That’s it, Short and Sweet)

Question:

Did you know that Americans spend between 80-90% of their time inside, and that the average American home contains over 63 hazardous products that are damaging our bodies?

Content:

Today I want to give you a list of 5 of those Household Products to absolutely avoid because they are highly toxic and terrible for your body. You may or may not be surprised, but these are some of the biggest contributors to toxins in your home. We breathe in chemical vapors and we absorb chemicals into our skin every time we use these products.

  1. Bleach – bleach can damage the lungs when inhaled causing permanent respiratory damage. So for all of you who mop in bleach, you are damaging your body with serious toxins.
  2. Laundry detergent. All of those good smelling scents of gain and tide and every other store bought detergent is killing your body. Cancer causing agents as well as endocrine disrupters, they mess with your body’s hormones.
  3. Dryer Sheets – dryer sheets have been labeled one of the most dangerous items in your home. So every time your dryer is on and your house gets full of that fabric softener scent, you are putting cancer causing chemicals into your body. Not to mention they absorb into your skin through your clothes later.
  4. Candles- This is a biggie. Scented candles put very dangerous chemicals into the air. So therefore, your pumpkin spice, your apple pie, your clean linen are all killing you. They are made with petrochemicals, which are linked to increased cancer risk, birth defects and allergies.
  5. Finally, deodorant. Store bought deodorants are very dangerous, full of aluminum, and are linked to breast cancer and other diseases.

Call to action:

Our family has been on a health journey for the past couple of years and have been able to eliminate most of the chemicals completely from our home and bodies. There are many more dangers in the home but I just wanted to give you a few today.

What if there were healthy alternatives that worked just as well, but were actually healthy for your bodies and would actually promote a healthier living environment? For the same price as you are paying for at the grocery store, If there were, would you be open to learning more?  If so, simply comment below or message me and I will be glad to share what I know with you.

So there you go. A facebook live within a FB live. It’s like inception.

To your success,

Genean Roberts
